A 2. 8 year old Klamath Falls man facing charges of assault and kidnapping his girlfriend in August is now facing many more charges. Police say Michael Herbert Corns is facing the other charges after they learned there have been a string of other victims. Corns has entered not guilty pleas to charges of serious attacks against other women over the last several years. Corns remains in the county jail without bail. He faces charges of attempted murder, first degree rape, assault, strangulation, kidnapping, sodomy unlawful use of a weapon, coercion and menacing for crimes again four women since 2.

A Klamath County Sheriff's deputy has lost his job after being convicted of groping an underage victim. Rafael Manzo plead guilty October 2. Manzo was sentenced to 1.

Manzo must also register as a sex offender and may not associate with, or frequent places where minors gather. The trial of James Forshee who is charged with murdering his supervisor, heard from a Forensic Psychologist yesterday. Doctor Alexander Duncan testified he found no evidence of abnormal psychosis when Forshee killed Emery Connor at the BNSF Rail Yard in April 2.

Duncan testified Forshee told him in 2. Connor as soon as Connor became his supervisor in 2.

Duncan said Forshee has medical issues including obesity, high blood pressure and type- 2 diabetes and took medical leave several times. Forshee told Duncan that Connor called him out on his medical issues and repeatedly harassed and belittled him. Duncan also testified that when Connor wrote up Forshee for a safety violation on April. Forshee told him he snapped and determined that day he would kill Connor.

Six days later Connor was shot and killed by Forshee. The defense will begin presenting its case on Monday. ODOT says it is considering using salt on icy roads in targeted, limited situations.

But instead of using it all over the state, the salt would be used on a case- by- case basis.   This year ODOT is taking the next step in its salt pilot program.  The primary reason is environmental concerns.  But ODOT also says its pilot program using salt has reduced the number of chain requirements and there were less crashes during winter weather.
